Heaven Has the Replays…

Embracing forgiveness is wayyyyy easier said than done.

Many of us desire to find a resolution to the resentment we feel, but sometimes forgiveness feels unachievable. "Heaven Has the Replays" offers a comforting reminder that we don’t need to seek revenge for the wrongs done to us. According to scripture, The Most High is aware of every wrongdoing towards His children, and will avenge the righteous in cases that they were innocent. [Romans 12:19]

If that isn’t enough to convince you, consider this: Refusal to forgive can affect you physically, and even shorten your life. Holding onto unforgiveness is stressful and can consequently result in conditions like high blood pressure and a weakened immune system. Pondering over negative situations hinders the body from healing and functioning properly, while meditation on positive situations and possibilities heals the mind.

Spiritually, unforgiveness is just as damaging. It creates a wall between us and the divine love and grace that could be ours. When we cling to bitterness and resentment, it stunts our spiritual growth and affects our relationship with The Most High. In Matthew 6:14-15, it’s clear: "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." This passage makes it obvious that forgiveness is a matter of developing our own level of integrity. We can only expect to the forgiveness we don’t deserve, when we do the same to those who oppress, betray, and offend us. [That being said, we also have the choice to love them from afar].

Forgiveness doesn’t mean we’re saying what the other person did was forgotten or justified. It’s about freeing one’s self from the toxic conditions of bitterness and anger. Forgiving is an act of self-love and spiritual maturity that helps us progress and develop spiritually. By forgiving, we’re not excusing bad behavior; we’re choosing to rise above it and trust in divine justice.

The fruit of the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5:22-23, includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities thrive in a forgiving heart. When we let go of grudges and try to embody these virtues, we create space for healing and transformation. Forgiveness then becomes a powerful tool for self-improvement, helping us live a more fulfilling and harmonious life.

So, remember, "Heaven Has the Replays" means we hold the power to positively steer our destiny. The Most High sees everything and will handle it justly. By forgiving those who have hurt us, we release ourselves from the toxic grip of unforgiveness, and open the door to spiritual growth and personal development. Let’s trust in divine justice and focus on nurturing the fruit of the Spirit within ourselves.

I’m going to let The Most High handle it!

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith The Most High.

Romans 12:19
